Resume 2017 blog

I work to commission on both large and small public and private projects. Based in Hereford I am happy to travel for consultation.

Now, in Autumn 2017, I have been working  on a series of large drawings. creating a  new body of work, something I have long wanted to do. I am now preparing  A4 copies of all my prints and drawings, bringing them together in a presentation case  from which selections can easily be made in any size, small or large, on paper or fabric. As much as anything else this will help me to keep track what I have made, many drawings coming in several different iterations.

Just completed, or in the process of completion, is the roof of a new atrium for AWG in Queens Square, London, the first of two rail bridges for a new rail freight terminal in Daventry and a collaboration on a clock for the atrium of the new Birmingham Assay office. Martyn Pugh is the lead and main mover in this latter project. On a smaller scale Julia & Shane Stratton in Philadelphia are casting into bronze a commissioned 7″ long wax carving of a unicorn. A new project of which I am nervous of speaking, because I haven’t yet resolved the design problems, is a vase incorporating pearls, cast glass, bronze and silver.

Above and below are three sculptures cast in bronze when working with Julia & Shane Stratton in Philadelphia, brilliant sculptors and bronze founders.
